How Geo-Grid Rank Tracking Works

Traditional rank trackers check your position from one location. Geo Ranking Pro checks from hundreds — revealing that your ranking changes dramatically from one neighborhood to the next.

1

Set Up Your Grid

Enter your business domain, target keywords (like “plumber near me” or “best pizza”), and your service area. Geo Ranking Pro creates a grid of GPS coordinates across your territory.

You choose the grid size: a 5×5 grid for a neighborhood, 7×7 for a city, or 9×9 for county-scale coverage. More points = more granular data.

Each dot = a virtual searcher at those GPS coordinates

Midtown#3
East Side#6
North County#14

2

Run a Scan

Click “Run Scan” and our engine searches Google from every grid point using your target keywords. Each search uses the exact GPS coordinates of that point — just like a real person searching from that location.

For each grid point, we capture: your Google Maps rank, your organic rank, and every competitor that appears. A 7×7 grid with 5 keywords = 245 individual Google searches.

3

Read Your Visibility Map

Your results appear as a color-coded map overlaid on your service area:

  • Green = Top 3 (Google Local Maps / 3-Pack)
  • Amber = Ranks 4–7 (close — a quick win)
  • Orange = Ranks 8–10 (page 1 but low)
  • Red = Ranks 11+ (page 2 or beyond)
  • Gray = Not found at all

4

Take Action

The map is just the beginning. Geo Ranking Pro includes 28 analysis tools that turn your scan data into actionable next steps. The Content Opportunities tab surfaces quick wins, competitor gaps, GBP optimization suggestions, and AI-generated recommendations.

Then track your progress with repeat scans. The before/after heatmap comparison is the most powerful way to show clients their ROI.

5

Report to Clients

Generate white-label PDF reports with your branding and email them directly to clients. Reports include the rank map, competitor data, content opportunities, and AI recommendations. Your clients see your brand — not ours.

6

Collaborate with Your Team

Running an agency? Geo Ranking Pro's Team Collaboration feature lets you invite team members and share domain access with fine-grained, role-based permissions.

Assign editors who can run scans, add keywords, and generate recommendations — or viewers who can see maps and reports without changing anything. Each team member gets their own login and only sees the domains you share with them.

Manage everything from Settings → Team. Add members, change roles, or revoke access instantly. Perfect for agencies with multiple SEO specialists working across different client accounts.

Audit Your On-Page SEO

Recommendations are only useful when you can see the evidence. Geo Ranking Pro's Site Audit runs an on-demand crawl of your real pages and shows you exactly what each one already has — and what it's missing.

For every page we check schema markup, aggregateRating, geo coordinates, areaServed, meta titles and descriptions, H1 structure, and image alt text. Green means it's there; red means it's a gap worth fixing.

This is the transparent foundation behind the AI recommendations — you're never guessing why a suggestion appears. Launch it any time from a domain's detail page under Site Audit.
